Welcome to our site! I have been rescuing bloodhounds for a many years now and have many up for
If you have or know of someone that has a Bloodhound and is in need of our help, please have them contact
us at the phone number on this site. We are members of The American Bloodhound Club.
I was the Rescue
Director for South Central Bloodhound Club for 2 1/2 years, we are also members of other bloodhound rescues which
are all non-profit organizations. We will solely be surviving on private funds, donations, gifts and small
fund-raisers. At this time we are "Only" taking in owner surrenders with a donation. These bloodhounds must be up
to date on their annual inoculations & heartworm tested! All Breed Rescues are usually full and are just busting
at the seams, so please do not take your bloodhound to any shelter and think that it will be saved by Rescue.
In working with this particular breed I have come to realize that most people that purchase these dogs truly
have no idea in just what they have gotten themselves into. This is why too many bloodhounds are abandoned or turned into
shelters everyday. These sad stories are what keeps me awake most nights! Bloodhounds are not just laid back porch dogs!
The ones you have seen on television programs were trained. It also probably took many, many "takes" to just get
that 10 second shot of them! So Please, if you are just looking at this site for information, that's wonderful, read
ALL the information or even call us to ask questions before you make the decision to purchase a Bloodhound puppy. There are
so many wonderful dogs in foster homes right now that would love to be adopted by a loving family. One that truly understands
everything that is needed to know before getting a Bloodhound.
